Few years back RE and Ferro sat down and redesigned their "Slickster" plate carrier. The Slickster was a great base model but we wanted to add / take away some things to make it more versatile and "Low profile." Designs went back and forth for a while till we eventually came up with our rendition and ended up calling it "The Advanced Slickster" (Cause we have serious Ego problems).
Some of the changes we made to the Slickster include
PTT Loops on front of vest
Integrated Kangaroo pocket for magazines/essential equipment
Elastic comms wires
2 x integrated radio pouches capable of fitting up to a PRC-152 Radio
4 x 6" Zipped admin pocket capable of holding a passport or similar sized item
Elastic cummerbund with 4 x magazine carriers
Added elastic retainers to cummerbund carrier for magazine retention
MOLLE Laser cut back panel
Over the last 2 years the Advanced Slickster has been picked up by dozens of Government agencies and Military Units. It has been seen in almost all Special operations units and federal agencies along with many state departments and private organizations.
The Advanced slickster was a revolutionary design that helped put both Ferro and RE Factor on the map but all good things must come to an end. We are hoping that this only opens the door to new projects and designs.
