The episode starts with the base of Ace, Luffy and Sabo being hit by a windy storm. Luffy had responsibility to look after their pirate flag being \"uncool\" to lose their flag. A huge gust of wind comes and blows Luffy off, Ace and Sabo laugh at Luffy. The three brothers go to the Gray Terminal to search for materials to rebuild their hideout being destroyed by the storm. Luffy wants a telescope, but Ace tells him that they will not find useful things there. On their way to the Gray Terminal, they are being watched by people hidden behind some trees.
Sabo waited till the next morning to see peoples' reactions of the fire that day if the fire is true or not. Sabo notices that everyone is so calm and thought that everything should be fine. Sabo's Father states it's a great windy day... for a fire, then finds out that Sabo is not in the house studying and thus orders his men to look for Sabo. Sabo goes up to a couple of people about if there will be a fire in the Gray Terminal, and everyone knows. The people of the town are being quiet about the subject since they do not want people from the outside to learn about it, which shocks Sabo, wondering if anyone cared. Ace and Luffy is seen with Bluejam, and Bluejam tells them that they have a big task tonight about their barrel jobs. Sabo finally realizes why his father hired pirates to search for him, to save him from the fire and maintain his status. Sabo starts running to the Gray Terminal to tell Ace and Luffy, but he is seen by Sabo's Father's men. The episode ends with Sabo saying \"Run! Ace! Luffy!\".
This seems to be series specific. And this is only on the Roku. Things are fine in Edge on my MAC, and on my Android Phone using the app. Kinda just sharing this as a weird 'scratching my head' issue. Watching One Piece. After S14E18 (episode 499) it no longer let's you advance to the next episode (forward and back buttons are grayed out). When it get's to the end of the episode, it drops back to the season screen. It's acting exactly like I had \"play next episode\" turned off. I do not. Other series are fine. Seasons 1-14 (till episode 18) were fine. They work normally if I go back and replay them.
It DOES know what the correct next episode is, as \"next up\" is correct. Looking at the info in Emby of the episodes that worked, and the ones that don't, they are exactly identical in every way according to media info. Also, if I go back 4 episodes, the \"next episode\" button is available and not grayed out (I stopped watching on S14E21 (502) to write this). It just acts like I've selected \"play single episode\" somehow. Does it if I click play in the app, or use the play button on the remote.
It get's weirder. I've spot checked episodes all the way to season 21. 400+ episodes later. It's the same. So from episode 1-499, even going back and playing them again, all is fine. Starting episode 500+ it will only allow me to play one episode at a time. And stops between episodes. Tested from 500-903. Randomly chose about 10 episodes in that range to check. These episode are not all from the same source or format.
Is there some limit at 500 It stopped working at exactly episode 500 on Roku only. Like I said, the browser and android app will let you advance like normal. The forward button is available. And I've tested, on those platforms it also auto advances at the end of the episode like normal. Even above 500. This is a Roku only issue. Smells like some kind of background episode limit, but as Emby tracks by season and not anime episode # (S14E18 instead of episode 499 for example) I'm not sure why that would be. But that seems to be the case. I don't have anything else with over 499 episodes. Bleach is the closest with 366. So I can't test my theory.
Edit: As for Roku client app, not using so wouldn't know does it have a feature to display all seasons episodes flattened in a single season as AndroidTV client app does, even without Absolute ordering on series. @ebr
Thanks Grim, that's exactly what I was looking for. I think that's changed or moved over the years. Or not. Hard to keep track. However, when I imported I used Sonarr. I chose series type 'Anime' which I THOUGHT did absolute ordering. But either that's no longer an option in Sonarr, or you have to unclick \"sort into seasons\". I thought it used to do Anime as a single season, absolute ordering, when you selected Anime. But, whatever, I don't want to have to reimport 900+ episodes, creating thumbnails and skip intro again. So I'll leave it as is. (unless it's what has borked my \"play next episode\")
Is there anything I can do to help I don't think logs would be helpful, why I didn't include any. I think if there was anything interesting, it would be in the logs on the TV. I know this is REALLY niche, as there are very few shows with 500+ episodes (if that is in fact my issue) and only impacting one platform. I do run PLEX as I used to have a user who wanted PLEX, but I don't even know if I remember how to log into it. But I'll check if PLEX is hit by this too if I can figure out how to access it again.
So, I noticed the Roku app updated to 4.0.78 for me tonight. Just dropping a pin in the fact I still have the 499 episode limit. I don't know if fixing the limit from the memory leak was in this update. The last release notes seem to be from 4.0.75 in January... (**cough cough** @ebr). But if it was, I still brok-ie.

The adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates have entertained viewers for years, and one would hope that there's plenty more to come. Each episode of One Piece is packed with adventure, action, and humor. Some episodes leave a lasting impression on the fans while others aren't nearly as impressive. These just so happen to be the most impactful of the series.
Updated November 18, 2022 by Suzail Ahmad: Ever since the One Piece anime entered the Wano Country arc, it has improved the pacing as well as the animation. Almost every other episode of the anime manages to cause a stir within the community.
Currently, there are many talented animators working on the show, and they put in a lot of effort to ensure that viewers can enjoy quality episodes. As the Wano Country arc enters its final act, viewers can expect many more outstanding episodes. Here are some of the best One Piece episodes that can be enjoyed over and over again.
The title of the 1015th episode carries a lot of weight. It focuses on Luffy and his journey so far. The episode has a flashback where Ace can be seen talking to Yamato about Luffy and his dreams. It also poignantly draws parallels between Luffy and Gol D. Roger.
The anime staff did a fantastic job of animating the episode and the storyboard was outstanding as well. The episode also signals the beginning of \"Roof Piece,\" which many viewers consider to be the best part of the Wano Country arc as it is filled with enthralling action.
The episode concentrates on the fight between the new generation and the old vanguard. The members of the Worst Generation were struggling to land any significant hits on the two Yonko. On the other hand, Big Mom and Kaido were enjoying themselves. They were interested to see how far the Supernovas could push them.
Once Luffy and co. gained enough confidence, they began attacking the two monsters that stood in their way. All the Supernovas focused their attacks on Kaido, and it looked like the tide was finally turning in their favor. This episode got things going, making it a thoroughly enjoyable episode.
One Piece Episode 1000 will go down in the history books. As the thousandth episode of the series, there was a lot of expectation from it, and needless to say, the staff at Toei Animation delivered on every front. They brought back the iconic \"We Are,\" but updated it with the current designs of the Straw Hat Pirates.
This was enough to trigger nostalgia. The episode also perfectly highlighted the differences between the past and present. It wasn't lacking in action as it showcased the much-awaited fight between Kaido and Oden's retainers.
This was the first episode that demonstrated the difference in strength between Kaido and Luffy. Luffy was furious when he saw Kaido attacking the ruins of Oden Castle. Thinking that his crewmates had fallen victim to Kaido's attack, Luffy began attacking a drunken Kaido.
Oden's flashback in this episode endeared him to the One Piece community and showed why the Scabbards were willing to die for him. The Scabbards carried the resentment towards Kaido for a long time, and when the time to let it out finally came, it made the fans emotional.
Shanks' entry on Whitebeard's ship managed to get everyone off their seats. With his Conqueror's Haki, Shanks damaged the ship and knocked out many members of the Whitebeard Pirates. The episode ended with Whitebeard and Shanks clashing their weapons and splitting the sky, a fight never to be forgotten. 781b155fdc
