My flight arrives at night, and I'm worried that I won't be able to find transportation when I arrive in Spain. Are there 24 hour airport shuttles? Would it be better to book a car in advance to be on the safe side?

Did you also have a night flight? I flew to Madrid and landed around 2:30 a.m. I was very worried that there would be no transportation. And local taxis charge twice as much. To be on the safe side, I booked a car in advance through the GetTransfer https://gettransfer.com/en/directions/spain website. The driver met me at the exit, helped me with my suitcase, and in 25 minutes I was at my hotel near Plaça de Catalunya. So, based on my experience, I would advise you to think about a car in advance. By the way, where are you going to stay? Have you found a place yet?
