Replace the embedded multimedia keys with fresh MIDI Editor 3083 virtual mixers with midi control windows like those of the old Steinberg HUI and that feature the 3083 MIDI editor. Replace the key commands to open the midi editor with the Steinberg Midi Editor specialized "ins and outs". This is started when you click on the track in the project window. Track in the Track list in the Arrange window is an issue. You can work with it or get it fixed from the main menu. There in the Project window, you have "new track", "record", and the context menu. The context menu has "record track" and "MIDI in/out" plus extra buttons.

Setting it up is not difficult. You have to set the installer to start up when the power on computer is started.
